100 Days, 15 Countries: Inside the $146K Luxury Train and Sea Journey

Around-the-world trips aren’t new, but none look quite like this. Adventures By Train has launched a global luxury journey that takes travelers across 15 countries in 100 days—combining historic rail routes, ocean cruises, five-star hotels, and iconic cultural experiences into one seamless, globe-spanning itinerary.

From London to Tokyo by Rail

The adventure begins on March 17, 2026, at London’s St. Pancras station, where 12 guests depart for Paris, setting the tone with a fine French lunch. The group then embarks on a continent-crossing rail journey through Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, and Turkey.

Highlights include private visits to UNESCO sites, Michelin-starred meals, and a Mozart and Strauss concert in Vienna. The first 14 days unfold entirely by train, culminating in a visit to the Caucasus with stops in Georgia and Azerbaijan.

Trans-Asia Adventure to Japan

From the Caspian Sea coast, travelers cross into Central and East Asia, stopping in Kazakhstan, China, and Japan. This leg features high-speed trains, immersive cultural programs, and luxury accommodations. Guests will have the chance to explore bustling markets, ancient temples, and modern metropolises before reaching Tokyo.

A Pacific Crossing on the Viking Venus

On day 72, the pace shifts with a 23-day ocean cruise aboard the Viking Venus. The route includes ports in Sapporo and Alaska before landing in Vancouver. The cruise offers a welcome break from land travel, featuring spa treatments, lectures, and gourmet dining while crossing the Pacific.

American West by Rail and Road

From Vancouver, the tour transitions into an American expedition, taking guests through Seattle, Montana’s Glacier National Park, Yellowstone, Jackson Hole, the Badlands, and Colorado’s Rocky Mountain National Park. National park lodges and boutique accommodations provide a rustic-luxe experience amid dramatic landscapes.

The journey continues aboard Amtrak’s California Zephyr, one of America’s most scenic rail routes, connecting Denver to Chicago. Then it’s off to New York by train, setting the stage for the final act.

Return Voyage on the Queen Mary 2

The journey concludes with a seven-night transatlantic crossing on the iconic Queen Mary 2, bringing guests from New York back to Southampton, England. On day 100, the train-and-sea odyssey comes full circle.

What’s Included—and What It Costs

The price per person is $146,000, with couples offered a discounted rate of $116,225 each. The package includes:
